FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Job Role:

To undertake service and repair, LSO duties and installations of air quality monitoring equipment in the field. The equipment worked on will be mainly Monitor Labs, Thermo/R&P, Teledyne API and Met One.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have experience within the air quality sector and/or an engineering background
  • Good working knowledge and training on most of the above equipment is desired, but not essential
  • Full training will be provided on specific equipment as required
  • Computer skills and full driving licence essential
  • CRB/DBS certificate required
  • Must be self-sufficient, organised and able to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to submit receipts and keep engineer’s car stock list up to date

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Follow daily schedule set by Service Co-Ordinator
  • Attend customer sites for completion of routine and service work, instrument repairs, projects and LSO duties
  • Attend customer sites to review and assess repair work required, undertake repairs and liaise with Service Manager on any follow up action
  • Complete relevant paperwork on a prompt basis including service reports, risk assessments and method statements
  • Maintaining stock and tools and ensuring regular reports are submitted on time

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have achieved grades C or above in GCSE’s (or similar) in Maths and English
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be keen to develop their professional and personal skills and have new experiences and responsibilities
  • Be able to work both on their own to specific deadlines and take the initiative for certain tasks and work as part of a team as and when required
  • Be well presented
  • Have a full clean driving licence (as a company vehicle will be provided as part of the package)

SALES AND PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Job Role:

We are seeking a detail orientated, thorough, and organized sales/procurement officer to assist with carrying out registering on the web procurement portals, managing incoming e-mail notifications, keeping the systems up to date (web portals and CRM) and inputting the relevant content for service and maintenance tenders and sales opportunities within the air quality monitoring sector, the work entails working mostly with local authorities and some private consultancies.

 

Requirements:

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy and systems
  • Two years previous experience as procurement officer or related position
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel) and Microsoft CRM
  • Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Ability to negotiate, establish and administer contracts
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
  • Goal orientated, organized team player

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure cost effective quotations are submitted and monitor the market
  • Create and maintain good relationships with the procurement personnel and customers
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain records of contracts, analytics, pricing and other important data
  • Review and analyse all procurement processes
  • Develop plans for effective sales and service strategies
  • Maintain and update list of customers and potential customers
  • Work with team members to complete duties as required

ADMINISTRATOR

Job Role:

The role will cover, but not be limited to the following:

  • General admin tasks
  • Ordering from suppliers
  • Sending reports to customers & storing in company records
  • Maintaining of company CRM database
  • Organising shipments of consumables to customers
  • Helping with marketing material preparation

 

Requirements:

  • Previous office/administration role
  • Must be self-organised with a strong work ethic and good communication skills
  • Computer literate preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
