SERVICING AND CALIBRATION

We pride ourselves on our quality customer service and aftercare.

We offer full service and calibration packages to support all the equipment we supply, as well as other makes/models of equipment within the UK AQMS sector. We recommend that servicing and calibration are carried out at 6 monthly intervals on gas and dust analysers and we plan our service programme accordingly.

It is paramount that a strict service regime is in place to ensure the analysers operate and perform effectively in order to provide continuous and reliable data and also to deliver the analysers full projected lifespan.

Our field service engineers are fully trained, competent and professional. They have a wealth of experience having worked on many types of air monitoring analysers. This background knowledge and experience means that we are able to offer service, repair and calibration for most makes and models of air monitoring equipment.

We will happily evaluate your existing equipment so we can offer a competitive quote for servicing and also ensure we stock the relevant service parts in readiness for your dedicated service programme.

We carry out servicing and calibration to the manufacturer’s recommendations as this is vital to keep the analyser performance at the best possible standard and to achieve high data capture and reduce analyser downtime. Hot spares are generally installed on site in the rare case that we need to remove an analyser from site work workshop evaluation/repair.

We don’t take shorcuts!

Gas Analyser Service

Matts Monitors Ltd offers full service and calibration packages to support all the equipment that we supply. We recommend that servicing and calibration are carried out at six monthly intervals and we plan our service regime accordingly.

We are experienced in most makes and models of air monitoring instrumentation including but not limited to:

Ecotech, Monitor Labs, Met One, Teledyne API, Thermo, Rupprecht & Patashnick (R&P)

We carry out servicing, repairs and calibrations fully to manufacturer’s recommendations in both our dedicated workshop and at the roadside.

Every gas analyser service we complete includes the following:

  • Notify customer and data collection provider of arrival on site
  • Switch analyser out of service
  • As found span and zero checks carried out and NO and NOx readings noted in engineers report.
  • Pre-test analyser parameters noted in engineers report
  • Replacement of pump kits, o-rings, sintered filters, dryer filtration units (dfu’s). Renewal of charcoal and purafil zero scrubber and pump scrubber contents.
  • Replace PTFE tape on fittings and renew fittings if required
  • Sample and IZS tubing cleaned through with compressed air to remove/prevent blockages
  • Clean sample flow, purge flow and ozone flow orifices with IPA and compressed air.
  • NOx/NO valve and Azero valve cleaned through with IPA and compressed air.
  • The ambient pressure is measured with a calibrated digital pressure gauge and if applicable, the pressure is then adjusted to the necessary specifications
  • Check Pump Vacuum
  • A full leak test is undertaken and then a full zero and span calibration. This is followed by a GPT (Gas phase titration) test which verifies the efficiency of the molybdenum NO2 converter (if included in contract).
  • Where applicable linearity checks are undertaken to ensure that the analyser is linear in its response to different step changes in concentration measurements.
  • All post tests are noted, site checklist filled in. Engineers reports and site checklist will be send to the customer and filed in our records database.
  • A full communications check of the modem to ensure no loss of data capture is performed prior to leaving site.

Every Dust analyser service we carry out includes the following:

  • Notify customer and data collection provider of arrival on site
  • Switch analyser out of service
  • As found tests for data verification
  • Replacement of pump kit, glass fibre tape or teom filter, and dryer filtration units (dfu’s).
  • Clean nozzle, rollers and filter housing
  • Replace valve manifold v-seals, mushroom filter, and orifices
  • Clean valve block and lightly grease with silicone grease.
  • Clean PM10/2.5 heads and lightly grease the impactor plate, empty and clean water jar.
  • Carry out full leak test of the equipment
  • Bam self-test carried out
  • Flows measured and calibrated if required
  • All post tests are noted, site checklist filled out. Engineers report and site checklist will be sent to the customer and filed on our records database
  • A full communications check of the modem to ensure no loss of data is completed prior to leaving site.
