Matt entered the air monitoring sector in 2002. He spent 11 years with one of the UK’s market leaders and developed a substantial technical knowledge. He then formed Matts Monitors Ltd in 2013. His aim was to bring a fresh approach to the sector. He formed a strong and experienced management team around him to professionally manage the business allowing him to stay at the forefront of the business to concentrate on customer service and support, building a quality product range and keeping abreast of technological advancements. Matt uses his vast technical knowledge and experience to efficiently deliver the best quality of service available in the industry at competitive prices. His down to earth manner, can do attitude, and focus on customer service and 'value for money' pricing has led to constant organic growth of the business and brought new competition to the market place.
Joe joined the company soon after its formation and has been involved in all aspects of the business. He has worked hard to build the quality of delivery of our Service and Maintenance business and establish our reputation in the market, which and has led us to becoming a substantial provider of these services in the air quality monitoring sector. He has had comprehensive experience as a field service engineer, workshop engineer, technical support engineer and has undertaken many project builds and installations of enclosures and equipment and has become a very knowledgeable and capable engineer. Due to the continuing organic growth of the business, a role emerged at Board level for him to work alongside Matt and assist him in the running, control and delivery of the sales and service elements of the business.
Having studied for an HND in business studies Paul started his career in sales and marketing before running a regional finance company which he built up and sold in the 1980’s. Paul has held more than twenty company directorships in the past thirty years many of which have been in the property sector. Apart from building businesses up organically Paul has dealt with many company acquisitions, disposals and restructures and has very considerable hands on experience of running SME businesses. He has a reputation for achieving set goals in a timely manner and always maintains a clear vision for the future of the business. Paul has a very hands on role in the business and is particularly focused on winning new business and then delivering it to the highest standards. He also ensures the overheads of the business are kept under control so that pricing can remain competitive.
Arthur is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Over the past 35 years he has worked for four very respected and substantial accounting practices. His role is to plan the strategy for the future growth of the company. Arthur has considerable experience of the small and medium business sector and the obstacles these companies have to overcome in their progression. His steadying hand, his ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels in every aspect of the business, and his vast experience make him an invaluable board member.
With over twenty years’ experience in management accounting, and the last thirteen as financial controller of a number of businesses, made Ashley an automatic choice for the role of controlling the everyday accounting function of Matts Monitors Ltd. His brief is to maintain accurate management accounting records, to monitor financial performance, to control the finances of the business, to operate to budget, to prepare forecasts and cashflows and also ensure the finance function meets the strategic aims of the business. Ashley has a dedication and commitment to his work and to the business and makes an important and valued contribution to the management team.
